How was it possible to grow grain trade 1,600-fold in one year?

Q. What led you to create an internal admin?

: Previously, deals were managed using external solutions. Because it was an external solution, 

the desired functions could not be used and there were problems with the data not being purified.

We want to maintain the system, but external solutions have limitations, so let's develop an internal

solution to suit our system! I decided to do this and worked with Green Labs' talented developers,

data team, and design team. We started the GMS production project.


Q. Was there anything you paid particular attention to in the production of GMS?

: We considered how it could actually be used for work and help packers and buyers. While conducting interviews with actual partner packers and buyers before the planning event, I

discovered their own difficulties.

The packer had a problem with an RFQ being delivered that did not meet the quantity

specifications he had, and the buyer found out about it too late when an unexpected problem

arose during the delivery process.

There was a problem. We have planned in a way that can help with this.


Q. How has GMS helped packers and buyers?

: ETD (Estimated Time of Departure) due to weather or port conditions, etc.

There are times when the EDA (Estimated Date of Arrival) schedule changes. In these cases, a

person would call the buyer directly to inform them of the schedule change. However, since it is a

human job, there are times when contact is missed, and there are times when replies are slow, so

buyers were anxious about the schedule. We have automated the admin to notify buyers

immediately when there is a change related to ETD or EDA. Now you never miss out on schedule

related information! 

GMS organized packer information to optimize RFQ. It is now possible to immediately determine

the current status of the packer with high accuracy. After cleaning up the information in this way,

when an RFQ came in, we were able to filter out packers that fit the quote, and since the RFQ was

delivered quickly and accurately, we were able to reduce the packer's unnecessary time. The

response is also quick! There was a time when I completed the process from delivering the RFQ to

closing the contract in just 6 hours.



Q. How did Admin help Green Labs Grain Scanner?

: First of all, when an RFQ comes in, the people in charge are notified so they can check it quickly.

And because we have accumulated history with our partners, we can provide solutions that more

accurately meet the RFQ conditions. We were able to find the packer. Being able to see all the

information I need about a deal on one page allows me to work very efficiently.

Q. Are there any features that will be added or improved to Admin in the future?

Yes, there are three. The first is to make it easier for packers to answer RFQs about their

availability. By adding the Indication Price function, it can be supplied to packers simply.

By asking whether it is possible, the packer can simply answer yes or no, thereby reducing

unnecessary disturbance time.

Because we communicated through two emails or WhatsApp, there were times when it was

difficult to remember or organize what conversation we had with which person. You can easily

organize and summarize the communication history of each person in GMS.

We plan to add features that can be used. It is expected that it will be a great help in smooth

communication with more packers and buyers.

Third, we plan to improve the issue of buyers and packers not being able to check issues after

shipment.

Yes. Currently, if the port arrival date changes or there is an issue with customs clearance after

shipment due to weather or other reasons, it is handled by checking within the team and making a

phone call. Therefore, there is a risk of information being delivered late or missing. We plan to make

it functional so that these issues can be immediately reported to our partners.
